TORONTO, March 6 (UPI) -- Andrew Raycroft had 24 saves Tuesday to post his second shutout of the season as the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Washington Capitals, 3-0.

Darcy Tucker, Yanic Perreault and Alexei Ponikarovsky all scored for the Maple Leafs, who have won two of their last three games.

Toronto, with 78 points, is tied with the Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes for the NHL Eastern Conference's eighth and final postseason spot.

Frederic Cassivi stopped 28 shots for the Capitals, who have lost five straight and 10 of their last 11 games.
