COL BKB: Ohio State 65, Michigan 61

ANN ARBOR, Mich., March 3 (UPI) -- Jamar Butler put Ohio State in front during a late 10-0 run Saturday as the No. 1 Buckeyes fought off Michigan, 65-61.

Ohio State concluded the regular season with a 27-3 record and a 15-1 mark in the Big Ten. The Buckeyes will play next Friday in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament, after receiving a first-round bye.

Greg Oden and Ron Lewis led the Buckeyes with 16 points each, but Ohio State found itself trailing by six with just under four minutes to play. The Buckeyes, however, went on their 10-point run to take the lead for good.

They finished the regular season with 14 straight wins.

Michigan (20-11, 8-8) was led by 19 points from Don Harris.
