EL SEGUNDO, Calif., March 1 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles Lakers announced Thursday forward Vladimir Radmanovic would be fined for briefly attempting to cover up how he separated his right shoulder.

The amount of the fine was not revealed.

Radmanovic originally told team officials he suffered the injury when he slipped on a patch of ice. He later admitted he was hurt while snowboarding.

Radanovich will miss at least two months of action.

"We discussed internally among our coach, ownership and management a variety of disciplinary options and thought that this was the fairest and most appropriate action," Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak said. "We consider this a closed issue now and look forward to Vlade's return to action where he'll be able to use his talents to help our team."

Radmanovic has averaged 6.9 points a game in 52 contests this season.
