NHL: Detroit 4, Chicago 1

CHICAGO, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Tomas Holmstrom scored a pair of goals Tuesday to lead the Detroit Red Wings to a 4-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks.

Kyle Calder had a goal and an assist in his debut for the Red Wings. Johan Franzen added a goal and an assist, and Pavel Datsyuk had two assists.

Dominik Hasek made 24 saves for his 33rd win of the season.

Jeff Hamilton scored the lone goal for the Blackhawks, who have lost six of their last seven games. Nikolai Khabibulin stopped 24 shots in a losing effort.
