NHL: N.Y. Islanders 6, Philadelphia 5 (OT)

UNIONDALE, N.Y., Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Trent Hunter's second goal of the game with 31 seconds left in overtime Tuesday gave the New York Islanders a 6-5 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers.

Jason Blake had a hat trick and one assist for the Islanders, who have won five of their last six games.

Chris Simon also scored, Randy Robitaille had three assists and Mike Sillinger added two assists for the Islanders. Rick DiPietro stopped 29 shots to earn the victory.

R.J. Umberger scored twice for the Flyers, who have lost five straight. Dimitry Afanasenkov had a goal and an assist, Sami Kapanen and Simon Gagne a goal, and Joni Pitkanen two assists for the Flyers.

Antero Niittymaki gave up six goals on 39 shots in the loss.
