Venus Williams reaches Memphis final

MEMPHIS, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Venus Williams beat Ioana Raluca Olaru, 6-3, 6-2, Friday night to reach the finals of the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships at Memphis.

Williams -- making her first tournament appearance in four months -- will play Shahar Peer in the title match.

Peer defeated Meilen Tu in the other semifinal, 6-4, 7-5.

Williams had been out of action since October because of a wrist injury. She has not won a tournament since capturing Wimbledon in 2005.
