MEMPHIS, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Hakim Warrick scored six points in the final two minutes to help carry the Memphis Grizzlies past New Orleans in a 108-104 shootout Tuesday night.
Warrick hit a pair of free throws and two big dunks on turnovers forced by teammate Rudy Gay to seal the game for the hometown Grizzlies after the Hornets' Tyson Chandler had tied the game at 97 with 2:13 to play.
Gay had 18 points on the night. Mike Miller led Memphis with 22 points while Chucky Atkins tallied 19.
Desmond Mason scored 23 and David West 22 for the Hornets, who had come into Memphis with a three-game winning streak.
