NBA: Denver 109, Milwaukee 102

MILWAUKEE, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony scored a game-high 29 points Saturday night as the Denver Nuggets beat the Milwaukee Bucks, 109-102.

The game was tied at 49 at the half, and Denver out-scored Milwaukee, 60-53, the rest of the way.

Nene had 17 points and 11 rebounds, and J.R. Smith had 16 points and three assists. Eduardo Najera had 15 points, eight rebounds and four steals; Steve Blake added 10 points and 11 assists for the Nuggets; and Anthony had eight rebounds and 10 assists for the Nuggets, who played without Allen Iverson (ankle) and Marcus Camby (groin).

Earl Boykins, playing despite an injured right thumb, led the Bucks with 26 points and six assists. Mo Williams and Charlie Bell each scored 16 points, and Ruben Patterson had 13 points and six rebounds for the Bucks, who are just 3-17 in the new year.
