James wins the Allianz Championship

BOCA RATON, Fla., Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Mark James shot a 4-under 68 Sunday to wrap up a two-shot win at the Champions Tour's Allianz Championship in Boca Raton, Fla.

James finished at 15-under 201 for his third victory on the Champions Tour, but first since the 2005 Ace Group Classic.

"I like Florida," James said after his latest title. "I was close in Tampa last year and I used to come over years ago with Ryder Cup exemptions to play Bay Hill and Doral. I like the greens in Florida."

James, who was born in England, earned $240,000.

Jay Haas (70), who shared the lead entering the final round with James and Craig Stadler, was alone in second place at 13-under 203.

Brad Bryant (69), Morris Hatalsky (70) and R.W. Eaks (68) shared third at 12-under 204.

Stadler shot 2-over 74 Sunday, and tumbled into a share of 15th at 9-under 207.
