COL BKB: Florida 64, Kentucky 61

LEXINGTON, Ky., Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Corey Brewer had 16 points and seven rebounds Saturday night as the No. 1 Florida Gators beat the 18th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats, 64-61.

Taurean Green scored 13 points and Chris Richard had 11 for the Gators (23-2, 10-0 SEC), who won their 17th straight game -- and became the first team to beat Kentucky five straight times since Tennessee did it from 1975-77.

Ramel Bradley scored 20 points but missed a three-pointer as time expired that would have forced overtime. The Wildcats (18-6, 7-3) had a three-game winning streak and had won 14 out of 16 coming into the game.

Kentucky shot just 14 percent on 3-of-22 shooting from beyond the three-point stripe.

Florida was up, 63-54, with just 26.6 seconds left, but Kentucky staged a comeback that set up the potential game-winning shot at the buzzer. Bradley hit a three to make it 63-57 with 18.4 seconds left -- and then stole the inbounds pass and hit another three to make it 63-60 with 18.4 seconds left.

Florida gave Kentucky a chance to tie it when Al Horford committed a turnover with 9.7 seconds left, but Bradley's three-point shot was short.
