COL BKB: Georgetown 76, Marquette 58

WASHINGTON, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Roy Hibbert scored 23 points and Jeff Green had 22 Saturday afternoon as 23rd-ranked Georgetown upset 12th-ranked Marquette, 76-58.

DaJuan Summers and Jonathan Wallace each added 10 points for the Hoyas (18-5, 8-2 Big East), who have won seven straight games.

Jerel McNeal had 15 points, and Ousmane Barro had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Golden Eagles (21-5, 8-3), who had an eight-game winning streak end. Lazar Hayward added 12 points.

Georgetown led by as many as 10 points in the first half, but a 9-0 spurt by Marquette -- capped by Dan Fitzgerald's three-pointer -- made it a 16-15 contest with 8:14 left in the period.

The Golden Eagles led by one with 1:07 remaining, but Hibbert made a dunk and Green made 1-of-2 from the free-throw line to give the Hoyas a 28-26 halftime edge.
