COL BKB: Memphis 70, UAB 57

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Jeremy Hunt scored on six three-pointers in the first half and netted a career-high 30 points to lead No. 10 Memphis to a 70-57 Conference USA victory over UAB at Bartow Arena.

The win left Memphis undefeated in the conference and riding a 12-game winning streak that began Dec. 20.

Chris Douglas-Roberts and Doneal Mack both chipped in 10 apiece while Hunt finished 7-for-13 from the field.

Paul Delaney led UAB, which has lost three straight and five of the last six, with 18, while Frank Homes added 14 and 10 rebounds, Wen Mukubu chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds and Lawrence Kinnard sank 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Memphis shot 37 percent from the floor, compared with 31 percent by UAB, and brought their record in the rivalry to 24-10.

Memphis had a 37-25 advantage at the half.
