LEXINGTON, Ky., Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Ramel Bradley had 21 points and nine assists Wednesday night to lead 18th-ranked Kentucky to a 95-89 victory against South Carolina.
The Wildcats raced out to a 20-5 lead in the first seven minutes, led, 50-28 at the intermission, and turned back a late South Carolina threat.
Bobby Perry had 18 points and four rebounds; Randolph Morris had 17 points and eight rebounds; and Joe Crawford added 15 points, four rebounds, and two assists for the Wildcats (18-5, 7-2 SEC), who have a three-game winning streak after their latest victory.
Tre' Kelley led South Carolina with 36 points, three rebounds, and six assists.
Evaldas Baniulis had 13 points and four rebounds; Bryce Sheldon had 11 points and four rebounds; while Brandon Wallace added nine points and 11 rebounds for the Gamecocks (12-10, 2-7), who suffered their third straight loss.
They 10 points in the last 1:39 to come within six-point defeat.
