COL BKB: Butler 82, Cleveland State 50

CLEVELAND, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Pete Campbell scored a game-high 28 points Thursday night as ninth-ranked Butler trounced Cleveland State, 92-50.

Butler quickly turned the contest into a rout, spurting to a 12-2 lead in the game's first 5½ minutes and building a 45-25 halftime lead.

Mike Green had 14 points, two rebounds and six assists. Brandon Crone had 13 points and four rebounds, and D.J. Graves added 12 points and five assists for the Bulldogs (23-2, 11-1 Horizon League), who sank 20 three-pointers -- including eight by Campbell -- and shot 64 percent from the field in their ninth straight victory.

J'Nathan Bullock led Cleveland State with 18 points and two rebounds. Victor Morris scored 12 points, while Bahaadar Russell scored 10 points for the Vikings (8-18, 2-11), who lost their fourth straight game.

Cleveland State made only 36 percent of its shots.
