NBA: Denver 114, Portland 107 (OT)

DENVER, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Steve Blake scored 19 points -- eight in overtime -- Friday night, as the Denver Nuggets beat Portland, 114-107.

Denver won despite the absence of Allen Iverson (right-ankle sprain) for a second straight night.

Carmelo Anthony had a game-high 33 points for Denver -- a night after learning he would be left off the NBA All-Star game roster. Nene scored 20 points and J.R. Smith scored 17 for the Nuggets, who broke a four-game losing streak.

Zach Randolph scored 25 points and pulled down nine rebounds for Portland. Brandon Roy finished with 22 points and 11 assists, and Juan Dixon had 21 points for the Trail Blazers, who lost their seventh straight game in Denver.

The Nuggets missed their first shot in overtime, but then recovered to hit seven straight shots and take a 112-104 lead with 1:15 remaining in the extra period.
