NHL: Toronto 4, Montreal 1

TORONTO, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Pavel Kubina scored twice Saturday night to help Montreal beat the Toronto Maple Leafs, 4-1.

Kubina and Jeff O'Neill scored power play goals in the first period to give Montreal a 2-0 lead at the first intermission.

Mats Sundin scored a power play goal in the second; Kubina scored his second goal in the third to cap the scoring; Matthew Stajan had two assists; and goaltender Andrew Raycroft gave up one goal on 28 shots for the Maple Leafs, who have won three of their last four games.

Tomas Plekanec scored a power play goal in the second period after an assist by Craig Rivet; and Christobal Huet was four times on 29 shots for the Canadiens, who have split their last four games.

On the power play, Toronto went 3-for-4; and Montreal was 1-for-7.
