NHL: Chicago 4, Calgary 3 (OT)

CHICAGO, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Denis Arkhipov scored on the power play at 2:53 of overtime Sunday afternoon as the Chicago Blackhawks edged Calgary, 4-3, to snap a 10-game losing streak.

Chicago had a 1-0 lead after the first period on a goal by James Wisniewski. Jeff Hamilton made it 2-0 at 2:35 of the second before Calgary tied the game at 2-2 on power-play goals by Daymond Langkow and Kristian Huselius.

Calgary's Alex Tanguay and Arkhipov traded goals in the third to set up the overtime.

Peter Bondra and Tuomo Ruutu each had two assists, and Nikolai Khabibulin made 19 saves on 22 shots for his 16th win of the season for the Blackhawks, whose last previous victory was a 4-1 win at St. Louis Jan. 2.

Tanguay had two assists, Kristin Huselius had a goal and an assist, and Miikka Kiprusoff made 36 stops on 40 saves for the Flames, who have dropped four of their last six games.
