NBA: San Antonio 112, Memphis 96

SAN ANTONIO, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Tim Duncan led the way Friday night with 26 points, 13 rebounds and nine blocked shots as the San Antonio Spurs downed Memphis, 112-96.

Dahntay Jones hit a jump shot less than two minutes into the fourth quarter to give Memphis an 85-83 lead, but the Spurs then scored nine straight points to seize control and won going away.

Tony Parker had 18 points and eight assists, and Manu Ginobili had 17 points, two assists and three steals. Francisco Elson had 15 points and six rebounds, while Brent Barry added 13 points for the Spurs, who have won four of their last five games.

Hakim Warrick scored 27 points for the Grizzlies, who have dropped six of their last eight.

Eddie Jones had 17 points and six rebounds, and Mike Miller had 13 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Grizzlies. Chucky Atkins added 11 points for Memphis, which has lost seven games in a row to San Antonio.
