NHL: Dallas 3, Los Angeles 1

DALLAS, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- Marty Turco made 20 saves in boosting the Dallas Stars to a 3-1 victory Monday over the Los Angeles Kings.

Dallas managed just 25 shots but scored on three of them to send the Kings off on their fourth consecutive loss. The victory allowed the Stars to break a three-game losing streak.

Turco's only flaw came on a power-play goal by Los Angeles' Michael Cammalleri midway through the second period.

By then Dallas was already up 2-0. Stu Barnes was the first to get the puck past Kings' goaltender Barry Brust, converting a pass from Eric Lindros late in the first period. The Stars made it 2-0 at the 8-minute mark of the second period with a power-play goal by Niklas Hagman.

Cammalleri made it 2-1 but midway through the final period Trevor Daley took a feed from Mike Ribeiro and put a wrist shot over Brust's left shoulder for the final two-goal difference.
