ATLANTA, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- Baseball icon Hank Aaron, in a possible move towards retirement, has sold all but one of the U.S. automobile dealerships he once controlled.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Major League Baseball's career home run leader made an apparent step towards retirement recently when he sold all of the car dealerships in his Hank Aaron Automotive Group, except for a sole locale in McDonough, Ga.
"He is trying to simplify some of his business life," Aaron business adviser Allan Tanenbaum said. "While he never views himself as retiring, he wants to enjoy the good graces that God has given him."
Four of the 72-year-old Aaron's dealerships reportedly will be sold to Atlanta's Nalley family, who already are major players in the auto sales game, while another buyer took control of two of the former Atlanta Brave's other locations.
