Joburg Open play suspended by lightning

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Lightning forced suspension of play Saturday during the third round of the Joburg Open in Johannesburg, South Africa.

With the round set to resume Sunday morning, Ariel Canete is ahead of the field at 12-under par after going 3-under through nine holes Saturday. First-round leader Andrew McLardy was one stroke back, tied with Hennie Otto, who shared the lead with James Kingston and Jakobus Roos after Friday's second round.

McLardy played 11 holes of the third round Saturday, while Otto got in eight holes before play was suspended.

Edoardo Molinari was fourth at 10-under par through 11 holes of the third round.

Kingston was 4-over through eight holes Saturday, and Roos was 5-over after eight.
