COL BKB: Memphis 79, Houston 69

HOUSTON, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Chris Douglas-Roberts led four Memphis players in double figures with 16 points Thursday night as the 19th-ranked Tigers defeated Houston, 79-69.

Memphis (12-3, 2-0 Conference USA) got 14 points from Jeremy Hunt, 12 from Robert Dozier and 11 from Doneal Mack. It was the Tigers' third straight win.

Robert McKiver scored 27 for Houston (5-8, 0-1), hitting seven three-pointers. The Cougars have lost five straight games.

A 10-point Memphis run late in the first half broke open a close contest and gave the Tigers a 47-33 cushion at the break.
