NBA: San Antonio 110, Memphis 96

MEMPHIS, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- A 34-point effort by Manu Ginobili allowed San Antonio to come away with a much-needed victory Sunday -- 110-96 over Memphis.

San Antonio halted a three-game losing streak that had caused the Spurs to fall four games behind Dallas in the race for not only the Southwest Division lead but also the best record in the NBA.

Robert Horry added 18 points for San Antonio and Michael Finley had 12.

Pau Gasol led Memphis with 24, but the Grizzlies fell to 2-3 under interim coach Tony Barone.

San Antonio dominated in the second half and led by as many as 18 in the fourth quarter.
