NBA: Boston 128, Memphis 119

MEMPHIS, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Wally Szczerbiak led seven Boston players in double figures Friday night as the Celtics pulled away in the second half to down Memphis, 128-119.

Szczerbiak scored 26 points, Tony Allen had 19 and Ryan Gomes, Brian Scalabrine and Delonte West all had 16 for Boston, which shot a sizzling 58 percent from the field.

Memphis was led by Mike Miller and Pau Gasol with 24 points each.

The game was tied at halftime, but Boston opened as much as a 12-point advantage in the third.

Memphis fell to 2-2 since Tony Barone became the team's interim coach.
