NHL: Edmonton 4, Florida 1

EDMONTON, Alberta, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- The Edmonton Oilers rolled over the Florida Panthers, 4-1, Tuesday, helped by Ales Hemsky's late second-period goal.

Jarret Stoll had a pair of assists; and Raffi Torres, Fernando Pisani and Ryan Smyth lit the lamp for the Oilers, who halted a four-game losing skid and ended a three-game home losing streak.

Dwayne Roloson snapped a personal five-game losing streak, stopping 25 shots on the night.

Olli Jokinen posted the only goal of the game for the Panthers. Josef Stumpel and Martin Gelinas racked up assists, and Ed Belfour made 29 saves in the loss.
