NHL: Minnesota 5, Atlanta 1

ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Pierre-Marc Bouchard had two goals and two assists Tuesday as the Minnesota Wild defeated the Atlanta Thrashers, 5-1.

Mark Parrish also scored two goals and Brian Rolston added another goal for the Wild, who have won their last three games.

Jon Sim scored the lone goal for Atlanta. Kari Lehtonen allowed five goals on 35 shots for the Thrashers, who have lost two of their last three games.

Manny Fernandez needed only 14 saves for the victory.
