ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 30 (UPI) -- A goal by Wes Walz 1:29 into overtime Friday night gave Minnesota a 4-3 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.
A penalty was called on the game-winning play, but after a long review, Walz was credited with the goal.
It gave Minnesota just its second win in its last five games.
On the play, the puck slipped into Walz' pants and Columbus forward Jason Chimera checked him from behind, sending both Walz and the puck into the net.
Rolston also scored the game-tying goal in the third period.
