COL BKB: Oregon 76, Oregon St. 73

CORVALLIS, Ore., Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Bryce Taylor had 22 points and nine rebounds Saturday while leading the 20th-ranked Oregon Ducks to a 76-73 victory over the Oregon State Beavers.

Maarty Leunen added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Ducks (13-0, 1-0 Pac-10), who are off to their best start in 69 years.

The last Oregon team to go 13-0 was the 1937-38 squad, which won its first 14 games. Aaron Brooks had 13 points and Chamberlain Oguchi 12 for Oregon.

Marcel Jones and Sasa Cuic each scored 16 points for the Beavers (8-6, 0-1), who lost for just the second time in their last six games. Josh Tarver added 15 points for Oregon State.
