NFL: San Diego 20, Seattle 17

SEATTLE, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- San Diego clinched the AFC West title Sunday after rallying to beat Seattle, 20-17.

Despite a shaky effort, Philip Rivers threw two touchdown passes for the Chargers, who are one game ahead of the Ravens for the AFC's top seed, and can clinch home field with either a win next week against Arizona, or a Ravens' loss.

Vincent Jackson caught a 37-yard scoring pass from Rivers with 29 seconds left; and LaDainian Tomlinson rushed for 123 yards on 22 carries, but failed to score a touchdown for the first time in eight games.

The Ravens hold the tie-breaker over the Chargers, thanks to a 16-13 win on Oct. 1.

Matt Hasselbeck passed for 189 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions; and Shaun Alexander scored twice on 31 carries for 140 yards for the Seahawks (8-7), who suffered their third straight loss, but clinched their third straight NFC West title when San Francisco lost to Arizona.
