COL BKB: Oregon 84, Idaho St. 55

EUGENE, Ore., Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Malik Hairston had 21 points and 12 rebounds Sunday night as No. 24 Oregon beat Idaho State, 84-55.

Aaron Brooks scored 18 points and Bryce Taylor had 14 points and seven rebounds for the Ducks (10-0), who matched their best start since they opened the 1996-97 season with 10 straight wins.

Akbar Abdul-Ahad led the Bengals (5-4) with 15 points, and David Schroeder had 11 points and six rebounds for Idaho State, which lost for the first time in three games.

Oregon took control early, scoring 14 of the game's first 19 points, and took a 45-28 lead at the half.

The Ducks never let Idaho Sate back in the game the rest of the way.
