NHL: Columbus 3, Dallas 1

DALLAS, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- The Columbus Blue Jackets earned their fifth straight victory Tuesday by beating the Dallas Stars, 3-1.

Fredrik Norrena made 25 saves and David Vyborny, Dan Fritsche and Jason Chimera each scored for the Blue Jackets.

Philippe Boucher tallied the lone goal for the Stars. Marty Turco allowed three goals on 23 shots in the loss.

Columbus coach Ken Hitchcock, who was recently hired by the club after his dismissal from Philadelphia, coached against his other former team. Hitchcock led the Stars for six seasons and won a Stanley Cup in 1999.
