PRETORIA, South Africa, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Charl Schwartzel Saturday maintained his lead at the Alfred Dunhill Championship in Mpumalanga, South Africa.
In the third round, Schwartzel, who is a native of South Africa, shot his third straight 4-under-par 68 and has a two-shot advantage over Mark Pilkington (65) of Wales and England's Lee Westwood (67).
His score is 12-under 204.
"I hit a lot of good irons and drives and the shots were not too bad either for the three bogeys," said Schwartzel, who won this tournament in 2004. "I played solid golf. I just missed a lot of putts which was frustrating, but I didn't panic."
Pilkington jumped from a tie for 11th to a share of second; while Westwood came up from fourth place.
South Africa's Des Terblanche (65) is fourth at 9-under 207; and Spain's Alvaro Quiros (68) is alone in fifth at 8-under 208.
Defending champion Ernie Els has a share of 16th place at 3-under 213.
