NHL: Minnesota 3, Chicago 2 (SO)

ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Pierre-Marc Bouchard scored in the shootout Tuesday to give the Minnesota Wild a 3-2 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks.

Bouchard, in the sixth round of the shootout, skated toward the net then braked, spun around and slid the puck past the outstretched pad of Nikolai Khabibulin.

Patrick Sharp had the last chance for Chicago, but his wrist shot went over the net.

Brian Rolston had a goal and an assist and Todd White scored the other goal for the Wild, who snapped a four-game losing streak. Manny Fernandez stopped 27 shots in the victory.

Brandon Bochenski and Bryan Smolinski each had a goal and Khabibulin made 35 saves for the Blackhawks, who lost for the first time in their last four games.
