MONTREAL, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Brad Stuart scored a goal with 1:48 remaining in regulation Monday to hand the Boston Bruins a 6-5 victory over the Montreal Canadiens.
Stuart moved to the side with the puck and sent it past Canadiens goaltender David Aebischer as he was distracted by two players stationed directly in front of him.
Tim Thomas stopped 34 shots in the victory.
Cristobal Huet stopped 12-of-16 shots before his removal early in the second period. Aebischer made 12 saves while taking the loss in relief.
