NHL: Boston 6, Montreal 5

MONTREAL, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Brad Stuart scored a goal with 1:48 remaining in regulation Monday to hand the Boston Bruins a 6-5 victory over the Montreal Canadiens.

Stuart moved to the side with the puck and sent it past Canadiens goaltender David Aebischer as he was distracted by two players stationed directly in front of him.

Stuart had two goals and an assist, Shean Donovan had a goal and an assist and Marc Savard three assists for the Bruins, who have won four of their last five games.

Glen Murray, Marco Sturm and Wayne Primeau had goals for Boston.

Tim Thomas stopped 34 shots in the victory.

Michael Ryder and Alexander Perezhogin each had a goal and one assist, while Guillaume Latendresse, Mike Johnson and Sheldon Souray also scored for the Canadiens.

Cristobal Huet stopped 12-of-16 shots before his removal early in the second period. Aebischer made 12 saves while taking the loss in relief.
