NHL: Chicago 4, Nashville 3 (OT)

NASHVILLE, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Jeff Hamilton's goal one minute into overtime Saturday night gave the Chicago Blackhawks a 4-3 win over Nashville.

Hamilton, who recorded his first career hat trick in the game, also scored the goal which created the overtime at 19:26 of the third period.

Tony Salmelainen scored once, and Nikolai Khabibulin made 25 saves on 28 shots for the Blackhawks, who have won three games in a row under new head coach Denis Savard.

Scott Hartnell had a goal and an assist, Shea Weber and Kimmo Timonen also scored goals, and goalie Chris Mason was beaten four times on 30 shots for the Predators, who had a four-game winning streak snapped.

Since replacing the injured Tomas Vokoun Nov. 23, Mason has made 133 saves on 145 shots.

On the power play, Chicago went 0-for-5, and Nashville was 1-for-5.
