NFL: San Diego 24, Buffalo 21

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y., Dec. 3 (UPI) -- LaDainian Tomlinson ran for two touchdowns Sunday to help San Diego beat the Buffalo Bills, 24-21.

The former TCU product gained 178 yards on 28 carries as the Chargers (10-2) ran their winning streak to six straight games.

They led, 17-0, at the half, and were able to withstand a strong second half Buffalo rally.

Philip Rivers threw for one touchdown and 160 yards; Antonio Gates caught a touchdown pass on seven catches for 90 yards; and linebacker Shawne Merriman returned from a two-game suspension for the Chargers, who moved into a tie with Indianapolis for the AFC's top record when the Colts lost at Tennessee.

Tomlinson has six straight games with at least 100 yards rushing, and is two touchdowns short of the league record of 28 in a single season.

J.P. Losman threw two touchdown passes and two interceptions; and Willis McGahee ran for a touchdown for the Bills (5-7).
