NHL: Detroit 3, Minnesota 0

ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Dominik Hasek made 20 saves on 20 shots and posted his fourth shutout of the season Friday night as the Detroit Red Wings beat Minnesota, 3-0.

Hasek -- who has 72 shutouts for his NHL career -- handed the Wild its first shutout since Nov. 1, 2005. That streak of 93 games without being shut out is the second-longest in NHL history -- Detroit has the longest streak, 144 games.

Dan Cleary scored two goals for Detroit.

Minnesota -- playing without Marian Gaborik, Wes Waltz, Jason Morgan, Derek Boogaard, Kurtis Foster and Pavol Demitra -- has lost three straight games and six of its last seven.

Gaborik has been out of action since Oct. 20 with a strained groin. Team officials said he may return some time next week,

Manny Fernandez made 20 saves on 23 shots for the Wild.
