Strahan gets angry during radio interview

NEW YORK, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan became angry Wednesday over a question by a broadcast journalist about his comments on teammate Plaxico Burress.

On Monday during a spot on New York's sports radio station WFAN, Strahan mentioned that Burress could have done a better job after quarterback Eli Manning's pass intended for Burress was intercepted in the fourth quarter.

A reporter started asking questions Wednesday about the comment.

Later Strahan, who normally doesn't speak to the media on Wednesday, went into his rant, saying he was disturbed that the reporter was asking questions about the statement.

"I've spoken to Plaxico," Strahan said. "I spoke to Plaxico in the team meeting too," he said. "Now you think that one play by Plaxico cost us the game? No ... The fact of the matter is we're 6-5."
