COL FB: Rutgers 38, Syracuse 7

PISCATAWAY, N.J., Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Brian Leonard rushed for two touchdowns and Mike Teel threw two TD passes to Kenny Britt Saturday afternoon, as No. 16 Rutgers trounced Syracuse, 38-7.

Ray Rice scored a TD on a one-yard run and the two TD passes to Britt gave Rutgers a 21-0 halftime lead.

Leonard -- who scored twice in the second half -- gained 106 yards on 19 carries, and added 27 yards on four receptions. Britt finished with four receptions for 94 yards for the Scarlet Knights (10-1, 5-1 Big East), who were unbeaten at home this season (6-0) for the first time since 1984.

Perry Patterson Jr. went 7-for-16 for just 49 yards, no touchdowns and one interception for Syracuse. Andrew Robinson threw a touchdown pass to J.J. Nesheiwat in the fourth quarter for the Orange (4-8, 1-6), who ended their season with six losses in their last seven games.
