FAIRFIELD, Conn., Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Dajuan Summers scored a team-high 17 points Wednesday night as 16th-ranked Georgetown beat Fairfield, 73-60.
Before the Hoyas took control of the contest late in the first half, the Stags never trailed by more than four points, and finished the first half down, 34-30.
Jessie Sapp had 14 points, three rebounds, two assists and three steals; while both Roy Hibbert and Jonathan Wallace scored nine points apiece for the Hoyas (3-1), who bounced back from a 75-62 upset loss to Old Dominion Sunday.
Michael Van Schick scored 14 points, Danny Oglesby had 13 points and five rebounds, while Manado Divagate and Anthony Johnson both scored seven points for the Stags (1-6), who were out-rebounded, 23-18.
Fairfield has lost two of its last three games.
