COL BKB: Connecticut 74, Fairfield 49

HARTFORD, Conn., Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Jeff Adrien had 17 points and 12 rebounds Saturday night as 19th-ranked Connecticut blasted winless Fairfield, 74-49.

Hasheem Thabeet and A.J. Price scored 12 points apiece, and Curtis Kelly had six points and six rebounds for the Huskies (3-0) -- who shot 50 percent from the field, had a 39-25 advantage in rebounds, and expanded a 41-33 halftime lead in the second half to win for the 22nd straight time at home.

Greg Nero scored all of his 12 points in the first half for Fairfield. Marty O'Sullivan had 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists; while Anthony Johnson had eight points and four rebounds for the Stags (0-5), who have lost 14 consecutive games to ranked opponents.
