BOSTON, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Glen Murray scored at 2:06 of overtime Saturday to give the Boston Bruins a 3-2 victory over the Washington Capitals.
With Washington's Bryan Muir in the box for a tripping call, Murray found a loose puck between the circles and hit a rising shot that surprised Capitals goaltender Brent Johnson for the game-winning tally.
P.J. Axelsson and Zdeno Chara scored in regulation and Marc Savard picked up a pair of assists, giving him a team-high 17 for Boston. Tim Thomas made 27 saves for the Bruins, who have won four in a row.
Johnson stopped 35 shots for the Capitals, who have lost three straight.
