COL FB: Wisconsin 35, Buffalo 3

MADISON, Wis., Nov. 18 (UPI) -- After a brief early scare, 12th-ranked Wisconsin regrouped Saturday afternoon and overwhelmed Buffalo, 35-3.

After scoring a touchdown before the game was a minute old, the Badgers allowed the Bulls to cut their lead to 7-3 on a 34-yard field goal by Adam Tanalski.

Then their defense turned away a Buffalo drive toward a potential score. The Bulls bogged down and Tanalski missed a second field goal attempt.

Before the half ended, Wisconsin place-kicker Taylor Mehlhaff had a field goal try blocked.

Tyler Donovan was 16-for-26 for two touchdowns and 308 yards; P.J. Hill ran for a touchdown; while Luke Swan and Paul Hubbard both caught touchdown passes for the Badgers (11-1, 7-1 Big Ten), who ended the regular season with eight straight wins and a 7-0 home record.

The Bulls (2-9, 1-6 MAC) lost all seven of their road games this season.
