COL BKB: Kentucky 57, Miami-Ohio 46

LEXINGTON, Ky., Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Joe Crawford scored 18 points Wednesday night as No. 22 Kentucky opened its basketball season with a 57-46 home win over cold-shooting Miami-Ohio.

The Wildcats (1-0) who shot 42.6 percent compared to 31.3 percent for Miami-Ohio (0-2).

Miami-Ohio led much of the first half until Kentucky went on a 16-3 run and took a 31-27 lead into the locker room.

The RedHawks pulled to 47-46 with less than five minutes to play, but the Wildcats scored the next six points and held the Ohioans scoreless the rest of the way.

Randolph Morris and Ramel Bradley each scored 12 for Kentucky while Nathan Peavy led the RedHawks with 17 points and six rebounds.
