NFL: Carolina 24, Tampa Bay 10

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Steve Smith caught eight passes for 149 yards and a touchdown Monday night as the Carolina Panthers beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 24-10.

Jake Delhomme completed 22-of-34 passes for 240 yards with two touchdowns and one interception for the Panthers (5-4).

Julius Peppers had three sacks to lead a Panthers defense that forced four turnovers and held the Buccaneers to just 69 yards rushing.

Bruce Gradkowski was 17-of-32 for 173 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions for Tampa Bay (2-7), which has lost three straight and scored only 27 points in those games.
