COL BKB: Creighton 78. Miss Valley St 42

OMAHA, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Anthony Tolliver and Nick Porter each had 14 points Monday to lead 23rd-ranked Creighton to a 78-42 victory over Mississippi Valley State.

Nate Funk added 13 points for the Bluejays (1-0).

Demarkus Barnes had 10 points and seven rebounds for Mississippi Valley State. The Delta Devils (0-2) have dropped their first two games on the road.

Creighton opened the first half with a 10-2 run and increased its lead to 23-8 just under eight minutes left in the first half.
