CINCINNATI, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- LaDainian Tomlinson ran for four touchdowns Sunday afternoon as San Diego rallied to beat the Cincinnati Bengals, 49-41.
The Chargers (7-2) trailed, 21-0, after the first quarter, but held Cincinnati without a touchdown in the final quarter when Tomlinson scored twice.
In his best game as a professional, Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers went 24-for-36 for 337 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions.
Brandon Manumaleuna caught two scoring passes; Malcom Floyd caught one; and Tomlinson gained 104 yards on 22 carries for the Chargers, who pulled off the biggest comeback in franchise history.
Carson Palmer was 31-for-42 for three touchdowns and 440 yards. Chad Johnson caught two scoring passes on 11 receptions for 260 yards; Rudi Johnson rushed for one score; and Shayne Graham kicked two field goals for the Bengals (4-5), who had a 28-7 halftime advantage, but lost for the fourth time in their last five games.
