COLORADO SPRINGS, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Brady Quinn threw for 200 yards and four touchdowns Saturday as No. 8 Notre Dame routed Air Force, 39-17.
Quinn threw three TD passes in the first quarter -- a 51-yarder to Jeff Samardzija, a two-yard completion to John Carlson and a 24-yard hookup to Rhema McKnight.
Darius Walker rushed for 160 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries, and Samardzija caught six passes for 106 yards and the score for the Fighting Irish (9-1), who have won seven straight games after their only loss of the season.
Terrail Lambert returned a blocked field goal attempt 76 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter, and Marcus Freeman scored a third-quarter touchdown on a 23-yard pass from Quinn.
Shaun Carney was 14-of-17 for 210 yards and two touchdowns for the Falcons (4-5), who have only managed one win against Notre Dame in 12 games dating back to 1985.
Carney threw touchdown passes to Beau Suder and Jacobe Kendrick.
