PISCATAWAY, N.J., Nov. 9 (UPI) -- A 28-yard field goal by Jeremy Ito with 13 seconds left Thursday night gave No. 14 Rutgers a 28-25 win over fourth-ranked Louisville.
Ito had missed a 33-yard effort, but Louisville was called for an offside penalty, giving Ito a second chance.
The Scarlet Knights scored the game's last 14 points to pull off the upset in a game billed as the biggest in school history.
They trailed, 25-14, at the half, but held the previously unbeaten Cardinals scoreless in the game's final 30 minutes.
Brian Brohm passed for 163 yards and one touchdown, JaJuan Spillman returned kickoff for 100 yards for a score, and Jimmy Riley caught a scoring pass for the Cardinals (8-1, 3-1 Big East).
